Q1 How did you encounter your interest in fashion design? Where did you study and what was your major specialization?
Well I have ALWAYS loved to shop & put things together for fun. Even as a little girl I used to put on fashion shows for my mom. I have not been to fashion school or college yet. I plan to go back someday... but for now I am happy being mommy @ day & designer @ night!
Q2 Let's talk about your design. What do you think is the most important element?
Well the most important element to me is balance of color & pattern. The quality of sewing is very important to me as well =] I take extra time & effort to make sure all my clothing is lined or inner-faced when needed, & seems are finished & ended just right!
Q3 Who would you say has been the most influential person in your life?
The fam, they sacrifice the time for Jenjoy Designs. When I'm down or in a bind they are always there for me. Love you guys! |

Q4 What projects are you currently working on
I'm working on Rock the Runways 2008 right now. I plan to show my very first Guy design!
Q5 Could you tell us what does your average day entail?
My average day is chasing my two year old & four year old around. Coffee is a big part of my day!
Q6 Biggest fashion faux-pas?
Horizontal stripes where you don't want them. Striped material is awesome, but designed in the wrong way, can be non forgiving!
Q7 How do you balance being a mom and running a business?
I work when it is nap time & at night, it's a wonder how I get enough sleep!

One of a Kind Clothing
Jenjoy Designs designer, Jen says "Hi, my name is Jen =] "Jenjoy Designs" is my label. I design, cut, sew & sell worldwide! Every piece is inspired by vintage, retro & street fashions. Mixing buttons, pockets & bows for a TRULY sweet & yummy creation! Start expressing your uniqueness & shop with me, the original jenjoy designs! I worked with my mom for about 10 years learning how to adjust sizes & patterns WHICH totally helps with making my patterns. I've now branched out on my own under the label Jenjoy, a child NICKNAME I was given. I create all my fashions from scratch and promise that no two will ever be exactly alike, unless it says LIMITED. Under SHOP tab. I TRULY love every aspect of design & sewing is what I love to do! I get true satisfaction OUT OF making every unique piece. It reminds me of painting because sometimes I just don't know what is going to happen next! My mom taught me what I needed to know from her BUSINESS & I took off from there! I use a terrific Pfaff straight stitch machine and a Pfaff coverlock 5 thread serger. The seams in my garments are PROFESSIONALLY strong & I pride myself with taking THE extra time and effort to make sure that all my creations are of the highest quality! By the way I am also a mommy >.< of two little girls and work out of my home thanx to my wonderful hubby. I add new items as often as I can and invite you to check back soon." |

Q9 Who is your customer, and how do they find you?
My customer is the individual who wants to stand out or loves unique fashion. My customers usually find me on my-space or searching for one of a kind clothing.
