Denimbirds...the evolution...
She began like the little sister who wore her big brothers favorite jeans and t-shirts, and now she has grown up into a beautiful, individual with a personality and attitude all of her own.
And she still loves her big brothers jeans...
Denimbirds is an individualist, feminine collection as seen through a denim lover's eye. Each collection embraces seasonal changes while maintaining a feminine and individual attitude that does not follow any specific trends.
Their passion is based on collections where denim is the heart; they present dresses, underwear, and feminine tops that can all be worn with your favorite jeans. Their attitude always has its roots in denim, and their often make references to their inspiration from subcultures that have a true denim culture.
Denimbirds personality is not restricted to any particular age group or size range. This lack of obvious borders only encourages the individual, free-spirited style of a Denimbird. |

Q4 When do you usually get the inspiration for your works?
I only work from what I see on the street, on films, from relations and nature. No traveling as we have small children.
Q5 Could you tell us the process of working on your pieces?
It starts from the quality meetings where we either develop our own quality or do experiment with the current denims. Then we make a lot of wash trials. Parallel to this I make drawings on the tops collection which I normally do outside the office to get maximum of concentration and rest from kids and telephone:)
Q6 What do you feel is important when you are working on your pieces?
The fabric is important and to get a good stretch quality looking rigid, the wash has to obtain the construction of the fabric and not killing it, the indigo has to give the right contrast and the fitting of the jeans. Its function including both ethic and aesthetic values.
Q7 What do you think about the current fashion trend?
We do not follow any current trends made up by trend companies, we follow the inspiration that fits into the brands, both for nudie and denimbirds. |
