Q1 How did you get started as a designer?
I came to New York a few years back and started studying fashion design
Q2 Could you tell us about the brand concept?
Odyn is a relaxed easy to wear concept with a touch of fashion in comfortable fabrics. fashion does not mean anything without comfort
Q3 Please tell us about Fall 2007 collection. What sort of pieces are feature in the collection?
We have continued our skinny jeans, but have also emphasized on high waited wide leg trouser silhouettes. in general we have raised the waistline up quite a bit.
Q4 What do you emphasize most in your work? what do you think important for the ideal products?

Q5 How many styles and colors do you offer for the denim line? What kind of denim do you use?
we usually offer 5-6 color shades of denims. If we offer more the customer tends to get confused. Most would rather invest deeper into one or two colorways to present more of a statement.
Q6 What has been the greatest challenge so far?
To establish the perfect fit
Q7 In your opinion, best current fashion trend?
It Is the higher rise flared 5 pocket jean....it looks great on all bodies.
Q8 Currently which stores carry Odin Jeans in Japan and US? What are the prices for your pieces?
I am not really sure about stores in Japan.

Flashdance and Salt n Pepa weren’t the only great things about the 80's. Who could forget colored jeans?
For Fall 07, Odyn shows bold splashes of 80's color, updated in their uber-skinny and high-waisted styles that continue to dominate this season. Expect to see shades like Jack Lemon, Purple Rain, Red Skeleton, Disco Turquoise and Fuscia hit the streets.
And, another blast from the past: acid wash. Odyn brings it back in blue and black varieties in high waist, super skinny styles, as well as new shine-coated denim for a high-gloss finish.
Away from the tight-fitting cuts, for Fall Odyn favors wide leg and flare styles, in place of the classic boot cut. These come in 5 pocket and high waist styles and include zipper detailing, exposed button fronts and utility accents. Wear them in winter white, classic dark, vintage blue and split pea green.
But it's not all about the denim. For the second season, Odyn moves into non-denims, where stretch fabrics take the color revolution another step further with brilliant jewel tones of aubergine, chartreuse, fuschia, and deep fire orange. In the stretch twill we see sleek cigarette-leg styles with back pocket detailing, and slim fit jodhpurs with suede trim and stirrups. And new this season, super-comfy Lyocell in regular-rise skinnies and high-waist bell bottoms, that hit the mark between a legging and a pant.
Late fall goes wild for embossed Crocodile patterns in stretch matte metallic wovens, and shiny animal prints in pants and minis. |

Q9 Could you tell us the project that you are working on right now?
We are working on spring 08... we are introducing prints on denims and adding more distressed washes in the collection... customers are again looking for diversity from the clean dark colors.
Q10 What are your long term goals as a designer?
Just to create a product which make people comfortable

We intend to stay around for a long time and to keep having fun...!!! |
