Q1 Could you tell us how did you get involved in art? Where did you study? What was your major or specialization?
I got my real first start as an artist by having my parents buy me all sorts of art supplies and putting everything in my hands. Anything I didn't like they would take away. |

It was great, I started ever since I can remember. I always loved art classes at school and my dad was a printer so he would donate tons of paper of all different colors and textures for the school that I was attending. I took a lot art classes in college and learned a lot but I never got a degree in it. I quit school because my band was touring so much and I also felt that I learned enough. Getting an actual degree never intrigued me that much anyways. It's just a piece of a paper. I've got enough paper.
Q2 What was your best experience in designing?
I don't have an exact "best" experience but I would say that one of my first ones was getting to design something for my band and actually seeing the finished products in my hands after everything was said and done. It's such an amazing feeling to actually hold something in your hands after it's done. I still get really stoked when I see a kid or someone talking about some art they love and they don't know that I did it. |

Q5 What projects you are currently working on?
Currently I'm working on a ton of stuff for Less Than Jake. I just finished their new album and now I'm doing all the back end stuff for it like shirts, skatedecks, web banners, print ads, posters, etc. The list goes on and on. I'm also working on all the new art for the Fest 7 in Gainesville, Fl. Oh yeah, and I just finished five super rad snowboards for ROME snowboards and they rule!! It's a lot of fun and refreshing to do. |

Q6 What does your average day entail?
My average day consists of me waking up around 9:30am and then doing my business in the bathroom, ahem. Then I read all the emails and respond to them and check out some blogs or other websites like emptees.com. That takes up a lot of my morning time. I love it. I then start planning on what I have to do for the day and write it down on a list. I usually finish most of it some stuff leaks into the next day. Pretty standard. I like to finish before night time because my eyes will start to hurt and I get restless.
Q7 Is there a dream project that you would like to do?
To be honest, I feel like lately almost all of these are my dream projects. I mean come on, I'm drawing rad stuff that I would of died to do as a kid and I'm getting paid for it. There isn't a better feeling. |

HorseBites consists of soloun hombre Richard Minino residing in the concrete backyard of the great Disney World in Orlando, Florida. His inspiration includes the jux-taposition of the enchantment forced upon him frowing up in the shadow of the Mouse and the disebcgantment of the punk shows which are also very near and dear to his heart. His work explores the true meaning of aggression and violetly shoves the mind into another realm of the imagination.
Creative influences include Walt Disney, Camille Rose Carcia, John Pound (Garbage Pail Kids), and Pushead. His most recent work revolves around the music genre with delightfully tacky, agro works ranging from cd layouts t-shirt designs, advertisements and tour posters. |

Q3 You think Disneyland is magical, but dirty inside. Is there anger in your artwork? What are you trying to say through the artwork?
I think from growing up listening to punk rock that I will always have some sort of anger or trying to take a closer look at things. No matter how nice or beautiful something looks there is always a bad side. Not to say that's a bad thing but just saying that everything isn't always the way it appears.
Q4 Could you tell us how do you like your work space? What does it look like?
My workspace is my bedroom. I love it, I feel the most comfortable in it and it's huge. It doesn't look like a normal room, it's super long because it used to be a pool room as an addition to the back of the house that it's a part of. I don't like working with other people around or bugging me. I also love the luxury of being able to fart or not having to worry about dressing up to go to a real job! I'm actually in the process of painting my room to give it a different vibe. |

|
| I know it sounds corny but I want to feel like my room should be a creative outlet for what I'm doing. I'll post some pics of it on my blog real soon! I'm painting the walls orange and got some new furniture, and I have to say it looks quite classy! So if they're any pretty ladies reading this, it's classy. Real classy. |

Q8 What is your future vision?
I would like to think that someday HORSEBITES could be my only art projects besides working for other bands or companies, unless I really like the band or company. I think it's possible but I also don't look to much into the future because this could end any day and I wanna bask in what I'm doing now and not take it for granted.
Q9 Favorite cocktail and where to drink it?
Great question!! I would have to say Whiskey and Ginger Ale is my absolute favorite. Other than that, I enjoy cheap beer and good music. The best place to do any of this would be with my friends. There is no other feeling like being with people who have your back and appreciate you for who you are as friends. That is something I know I will never take for granted nor do I ever want it to end! Like Milo from the Descendants said "I don't wanna grow up!".
