Q1 Could you talk us about the new released video "BIGGEST LIE"? Where did this song come from? Any story behind it?
The song was written with one week before studio time. In about 20 mins. I had the chorus and verse and intro. The video was left in the hands of Justin Staggs. All we did was shoot on a green screen and then he listened to the lyrics and took it from there. It's different for us, and seems super political. However that was not the intention when I wrote the lyrics, but somehow the visuals work great.

Q2 You will be on a tour in Australia and New Zealand in June, back to Japan in September. Are you planning anything new this tour?
Well, we will be playing new songs as well as some different old ones. We try to keep it fresh and change songs from tour to tour.

Q3 You guys have been touring all over the places, which venue do you feel the best to play your music? And why?
Shibuya AX in Tokyo. Actually, I don't know, there are so many good ones that I like for different reasons. I think nostalgia comes into play a lot.

Q4 What's your most memorable on the road story?
Ahh, again there are too many. I mean most of the time it's just that perfect time where the crowd is in sync with the band and everything is going right; the perfect mix, the perfect amount of booze etc...

Q5 What do you usually do before the show starts?
Drink two vodka drinks, vocal warm-ups and then switch to 2 beers and 4 waters for the set.

Review from Fat Wreck Chords- NO USE FOR A NAME are a four-piece punk rock band from San Jose, CA, and have been the torchbearers of the skate-punk scene since Tony Sly and Rory Koff started the band in 1987. Their first Fat release, The Daily Grind, was so well received that they got right back in the studio to record their Leche Con Carne full length. It's a good thing they did because Leche Con Carne was hugely successful and the video for "Soulmate" was added to heavy rotation on MTV. The success of Leche Con Carne and Making Friends and the band’s reputation for energetic live shows resulted in numerous tours across the U.S., Europe, Australia, Canada, and Japan with bands like The Offspring and NOFX, as well as several stints on the Warped Tour in the U.S. and Europe. NO USE FOR A NAME then went back into the studio in July of '99 to record their next record, More Betterness. Less than 2 weeks before touring for More Betterness began, Chris Shifflet left to join the Foo Fighters, and was immediately replaced by Dave Nassie, formerly of Suicidal Tendencies/Infectious Grooves. NO USE spent 2002 on the Warped Tour' s mainstage, and later joined Sum 41 on a big tour, which was a hoot by all accounts. NO USE's most ecent accomplishment came in the form of 2005's full length, Keep Them Confused. All this only further strengthened their touring dominance as mainstage headliners of the 2005 Warped Tour. They followed that up with their own headlining tour of the States, Europe, and Japan. NO USE FOR A NAME are one of independent music's most dominant and everlasting forces. The 14 song record is a perfect blend of all their previous albums and will be released April 1ST, 2008. Look for the band as main support for NOFX on the 2008 US Fat Tour followed by an extensive European tour in April. Exclusive flashfilm Interview answered by Tony Sly.
