I have two particular experiences. The first was getting to know the celebrated nude photographer Andreas H. Bitesnich, who inspired me a great deal. The second was my first big commission to photograph for Playboy magazine which was always an ambition of mine.

I admire the work of many artists and photographers, but if I had to single anyone out, it would probably be Peter Lindbergh and David Lachapelle.

I am so happy to be working as a photographer, that I could not possibly imagine doing anything different.

To release a book, to have a major exhibition and to finally have my own studio.

Irene Schaur is a Viennese photographer specializing in celebrity and fashion photography. Her images are known for their provocative sex appeal, and as a woman who photographs almost exclusively women, has always a strong rapport with her models. The tension in her work is seen at its best in the work commissioned by German Playboy and her own personal work, where creativity and eroticism combine to sizzling effect.
